 This security camera requires the use of a POE injector or switch (not included; sold separately) in order to start helping you add an extra layer of security to your home or business. This device connects to your router and plugs into a power outlet. The distance between the camera and PoE injector/switch should be no more than 300ft. Be sure that your PoE switch has enough ports for the number of cameras you intend to use.

By using a PoE IP security camera, you save time and money by eliminating the need to lay down electrical cables. Without the need for electrical cables, you’re able to put your security camera virtually anywhere without the need for a power outlet. To further benefit you, your camera will only need one central power source when using a PoE injector or switch.
